I would like to share my experience here so no one has to go through what I went through. I came to this pharmacy (I am in their system, and a client), after I was discharged from UW for abdominal surgery. Due to UW issues there was a problem getting my prescriptions, when I went inside I was visibly in pain, I was immediately met with hostility and dismissal by a pharmacy tech that was on the floor at the time. I asked him if he could have "a little more compassion, and act like a human being" simultaneously my valid prescription order came through and this employee held my valid prescription in the air and waved it saying "Are you going to insult me again" to which I replied "why are you going to hold my pills hostage?" and was told I would be thrown out if I insulted him again. I asked him to please get my pills, I spoke with the Manager about why his employee treated me this way to which he replied "We get a lot of scams and have to be careful". Then declined my request to speak with the employee that was rude to me. If this is the level of care and respect I should expect from Axis Pharamacy and it's Management then I will go elsewhere. I was a client in their system and they had no right to treat me that way simply because I was in pain or because they decided to racially profile a brown man and think I was there to "Scam" them when I have been in this location multiple times.
